Potasium Permangate for the pink/purple/sparkle.
A compound which should be in everyone's camping first aid kit, for scratches, purifying water, general disinfectant and most importantly, a little Glycerine in same kit (for ant/bee/wasp stings (draws the toxins out)) and you have the best fire starter money can buy, just don't put the PP (Condy's Crystals for us older fellows) near the glycerine or sugar, same fire starter mixed with sugar.


I actually considered trying to make a two part capsule like the snap (chemical) light sticks but the risk of breakage during travel would be a huge hazard, especially if no one knew it was in your kit and it ignited.
