For one shot colour cameras, the Bayer Matrix over each set of 4 pixels for recording the RGB colour components of the image is made up of x1 Red, x2 Green and x1 Blue pixels due to the filters above those pixels. Therefore, there are twice as many G filters as there are R or B.

When using one shot colour cameras, should one be compensating for the x2 Green filtered pixels?
