Quopaz, to find the Ice Giants I use SkySafari Plus and my Bintel (rebadged GSO) 8x50 RACI finder. I do use my Goto to get close, but the mount is never accurate enough for a small sensor and 2x Barlow. Even in the suburbs of Melbourne I can see Uranus through the finder, Neptune is usually too dim so I need to star hop but I was able to see a faint dot in the right spot yesterday morning. It normally takes a while to find Neptune, but I got lucky this time around.
The RACI has made it
so much easier for me to find objects, especially the dim ones like Uranus and Neptune, I highly recommend one.
