Nico is likely losing because pit to driver radio is now banned, without engineers feedback and instructions his racecraft is compromised. Lewis has far more experience is the more talented natural racer IMO
However, his reliability has been pretty bad, and he was taken out by Nico in Belgium - hence Nico is still in the hunt for the title.
