I always found the color cast too distracting and never really found that I saw much more with them, though that was a long time ago and I haven't revisited them since. I bought the filters just to see, but I never use them. I much prefer to try and pull as much detail as possible without filters. I think its something to do with the brightness reduction as well as wanting my planets to look like they're supposed to when observing them. A green mars is just wrong!��
