G'day All
I recently stumbled on a great little IOS app for Iphone, Ipod or Ipad. It is called DSLR.Bot and assists in IR control of your DSLR Camera (
Canon, Nikon, Sony and Pentax).
See what model cameras are supported here:
http://www.dslrbot.com/specifications/
It provides the following control functions:
- Shoot
- Long Exposure
- Time Lapse
- Bracketing
- Movie Mode
It only cost me just over $5 (best five bucks I ever spent!
).
You will need an IR (Headphone Jack) transmitter which can be bought commercially (around $10 - $20) or a cheaper homemade ebay version (around $3).
Alternatively you can make one through a simple and easy to make DIY project.
See the DIY IR cable options here:

Well worth a look and I highly recommend getting it if you are looking to get a remote for your DSLR camera.

The main website for DSLR.Bot is:

The attached pics show a commercial IR option and the cheaper ebay option (

Hope you find some use for this.
Regards
