I have been tempted a few times to get a 583wsg but have always resisted. I have a set of 1.25" colour filters but without IR blocking, an IR filter and an Astronomik H-alpha. I have also been having reasonable success lately using a Meade OAG and starshoot autoguider. Previously my efforts with an OAG were hopeless. My DSLR pictures though have been disappointing.
All the talk here recently re various 8300 based cameras has scrambled my brain. It seems to me if you have relatively good equipment, attention to detail and some talent good images will follow (though I'm a bit short on talent). This price may be what makes me jump to QSI
