This might be used to find db me think:

So my camera (qsi690) has log2(18,000/4.0)=12.14 bits = circa 75db
While FLI's MLX814 has log2(18,000/2)=13.14 bits = almost 81db
or FLI's ML16803 has log2(100,000/10=13.29 bits = close to 82db
What about the 1600?
