Mars and Jupiter - 9 Jun 2018

Hi, my attempts from last night. Very damp and humid conditions following a week of moderate rainfall. Despite intermittent cloud cover managed to record Jupiter near GRS transit and developing dust activity on Mars as it rolls westward through Valles Marineris - first light with a new 2.8 micron colour sensor. Was only using f16 but planning to go higher next time.

Interesting to see prominent dark blue feature forming west of the GRS in following STrD boundary merger. Very distinct in preview, it looks like an impact scar. Seeing was not so good this evening for Europa transit.

Clear skies,
Seb
