I just did a quick comparison on one of the $500 cash back lenses, the Canon EF 24-105mm f/4L IS USM:
- Dirt Cheap has it (Aus Wty) listed at AU $1520.05 so with $500 off that makes it $1020.05.
- Adorama has it (Grey Import) listed at US $1039 (AU $1154 at 0.9 xchnge) so in this case, for that lens, with the cash back, it makes sense to purchase locally in Oz.
Another lens in the $500 cash back offer is the Canon EF 70-200mm f4.0L USM:
- Price: $1107.50 (without cash back) in Oz
- US $559 (AU $614) so again with cash back this as cheap in Oz and under local warranty.
However, you only get the $500 cash back on one lens and you have to purchase an EOS DSLR.
