Modded DSLR and daytime use

I've seen daytime photos taken with modded DSLR cameras and as expected, they're usually very red or pink.

I understand that you can use a custom white balance setting which then makes the photos come out as normal, as if the filter hadn't been removed.

Is that definitely the case, or is there additional fiddling in PS that always has to be done?

After any post-processing or CWB setting, is the image exactly the right colours now or does it still show signs of being taken with a modded camera?

How do you set the CWB to be right?

If anyone can post any examples taken with their own modded DSLR's, that'd be much appreciated. Before CWB and after, or before processing and after, would be even better!

Cheers
