Well, on Saturday night Space Dog and myself gave the Argo a work out on the 16" Lightbridge. We started on the popular tour, then the Messier tour and finished off in identify mode exploring the LMC and SMC looking at all sorts of obscure stuff (Krons, Lindsays, etc).

We ran the Argo's batteries flat and started again... and eventually called it quits when hypothermia was getting a good grip on us... you see we weren't expecting it to fine up like it did, and were in socialise mode when people started turning lights off... recognised universally as a sign that the sky is clearing. Not knowing how long it would be clear for, we jumped straight into observing rather then donning thermals, etc...

I don't know what time we called it quits, but I'd guess it was mid-nightish, so we got a good 3-4 hours observing in... and not too tired for the drive home.

Al.
