von Tom is imaging using a DSLR Canon 550 and has a goto DOB. I have a 12" DOB but mine is too early for goto, I use a EQ platform and I use a Canon 450D and webcam.
Have a look at the pics from my link below to what is possible. It is not the perfect imager but it is a good training ground.
It is not easy to conenct a camera to a DOB though
