I paid it for a few years...in all, I only bought probably 3 items and sold 5, so probably was worth it. Having said that, nearly everything is available here, once you know who to ask or wait for the classifieds.
With USPS rates gone astronomical (HE HE), it's almost no longer worth hunting the US market. Sure, I got the FCT-100 (pure unobtainium here), but postage back then was $85 for the scope. Now, that's almost letter rate from the US...
