old & new
Some years ago whilst touring in the SW of WA we came to an attractive old timber bridge with a new concrete monstrosity beside it. The road gave access to both.
So we drove the pair over the old and new bridges. Our thoughts were we would be the last of many to drive a pair over the old bridge and the first of few to drive a pair over the new bridge. People who only motor give scant regard to this sort of thought.
