Hi Alex,
For your hypothetical filter wheel, you will need LRGB broadband for star colour, the traditional Ha, OIII and SII narowband filters. Plus you could add these exotic filters Neon III, Helium I or II and Argon III.
I have attached a table showing emission line signal strengths for some nebula's, green are those signals greater than SII and yellow for signals less than SII.
