I'm not sure it works like that? I'm sure the more experienced photographers here will be able to give you an explanation why/why not.

Anyway...I think the key point here is that you need to make a decision about your learning curve and what it is that you want to get out of your imaging.

One-shot colour cameras are much easier in terms of capture and processing. The downside is they don't offer the same result as a mono ccd combined with filters and filter wheel.

You need to make a choice about what your plans/goals are and go from there.

Also, what sort of imaging do you want to do?

There's absolutely nothing wrong with using a one-shot colour camera. It certainly makes life easier.
