Ill be super honest with you if you have maximdl ditch PHD, maxim is alot better allowing you to make changes on the fly so you can see the difference in what your doing. calibration of your guiding camera at worst will take you 30-40 seconds pointing around say crux. pointing around east or west you will be looking at more like 20 seconds as it only has to move 5 px left right up down to form a L shape not a + shape like PHD. Further to that you can see what arc second your errors are relating to which is handy.

I know Maximdl supports the Dsi 2. it has its own drop down box. and i know maxim and gemini work well so there isn't any reason not to do it. plus it removes one more program from the mix.

If you get stuck and want a tutorial on how to guide with maxim dl tonight im going to try and get out to do some imaging but it wont be till about 9pm WST. You can log into my imaging PC and see what im doing. Upto you
