50 year-old vacuum sealed lunar samples hope to shed new light on the Moon's geology

In a 12 May 2019 article at the Washington Post, Sarah Kaplan reports on
how scientists at the Johnson Space Center in Houston are about to
do experiments on three vacuum-sealed core lunar samples that have
purposely not been opened since they were collected on the Moon on the
Apollo 11 EVA.

NASA was waiting for the right scientists, with the right technologies, at the right time.
