While I conceed that the red and Ha sensitivity is not spectacular with the current crop of DSLR's, it is somewhat over-rated I feel.
Most of my astro shots have had some, and for globs etc it is less important.
If solely astro, then yes, buy a Hutech 300D with no filter. If all round, just buy the stock model.
