you are right i dont have much experiencs with this long lens,

I had a friend here with canon 100mm to 400mm,he only had a monopod

wondering around the garden with canon 300d,and seemed to get good pics

i have solid tri pod,and results where ho hum,but you have given me some

usfull info,to think about,
