I grab darks for my most common sub durations but I do use scaling as well, e.g. for 20 minute subs which I sometimes do for LRGB at a dark site.

Bias frames are easy so I typically take several hundred of them. This time around I got 800. Based on my camera parameters that should give me a SNR of around 6000:1 in the master bias.

I do new calibration masters when the old ones don't appear to correct so well any more and I see significant numbers of hot pixels in calibrated lights. The last time was around 8 months ago, I think.

Cheers,
Rick.
