This is an excellent idea. I've used:
- Specialty Fasteners,
http://www.specfast.com.au/, Fyshwick ACT - range of screws, bolts, nuts in various metric and imperial sizes
- Blackwoods,
http://www2.blackwoods.com.au/Default.aspx, Fyshwick ACT - put me on to Lanolin grease for binocular focusers, etc, source of Loctite UV curing glue for refixing a binocular eyepiece element
- Bunnings and Magnet Mart - anything and everything else (also just picked up one of the waterproof cases)
