Is this normal for this EP

I have a 23mm Celestron Luminos EP, which I brought 2nd hand.

This is a large 2" EP with a 82degree field of view. My issue is that when I observe the Moon, the outer region of the EP has a large, bright orange circle of light. Its like the Moon has its own, circular rainbow.

I know this is a cheap EP for its statistics and the image quality inside of this false colour seems to be good. So is this normal for this type of EP, or have I just ended up with a dud?
