I didn't think to check the car policy - after all it was in the car (van).
Actually it was the insurance companies fault - sort off. I'd just gotten the van back from an insurance repair and that's why I was out taking pictures
I'll dig out the policy and check.
EDIT: Cover for up to $500 on personal items it damaged when the vehicle is involved in an accident or stolen. No luck there.
Hi Steffen, If it was just the lenses then I'd get a quote but the alloy body of the lense is out of shape..
