Soft expanding foam for DIY cases

I've hit on the idea of making my own custom case for eyepieces, binoculars, Telrad etc. Start with one sufficiently large toolbox (in fact a triple stacked rolling type), make a mould corresponding to my gear, mix up some expanding foam, inject it, and then trim off the excess.

Obviously I don't want the hard crack filler foam you can get from Bunnings, and YouTube has plenty of tutorials depicting people making similar foam things so I guess I'm just wondering where I can get my hands, at a reasonable price, on some of the softer foam components so I can play around. Google quickly identified a few places, but I don't wish to buy in the kind of quantities some of those places seem to sell.

Any ideas?
