Eric, check out my
IR filter thread to get an idea of what happens without and with an IR filter for colour balance. If you are shooting in mono eg Ha, O III this mightn't be a problem as you will be filtering out the IR anyway, but shooting in colour may well cause you problems. While I am using a webcam the principle will still be the same.
