After looking at some older data, the banding doesn't appear to be much of a problem at ISO800, even with 10min subs so I think I won't bother with imaging at ISO1600 when doing long subs.

By the way, I never imaged at 1600. At these temperatures, and with the length of exposure and imaging from Sydney. it just wasnt worth it.
Flow at the moment is ISO 400 (800 for something really faint) 5 to 6 minutes subs and a lot of them.
