Thanks Lee - yeah I know it's a smaller chip, but the pixels are tiny ickle things, and of course it got me wondering if it'd be a better bet for eeking out a little more resolution when galaxy chasing
I know I should just bite the bullet and use a bigger scope, but the Esprit is just so darn sharp it got me thinking about the theoretical, but rare, good night
The FOV with the 1600 isn't much shy of 2 degrees...I know I can always chop down to a ROI, but...idle brain cells
Of course, it got me thinking about its use as a planetary cam too...
