Hi mate,

Nah, it's all just rumour and speculation at the moment.

It all comes down to what you want to do; if you wish to capture landscapes AND want a resolution monster AND wish to stay in the Canon camp (yay!), then, we just have to wait and see what's around the corner.

The 5D Mark III is a remarkable camera. Best piece of equipment I have ever used. I shot a party on Friday night in ultraviolet light. It was very, very dark in the room (ISO-6400, f/2 light) and the focus didn't let me down. What let me down was that I wasn't using an IS lens, and, a bit of motion blur crept into the images, as I was shooting at 1/80s.

You will /not/ be disappointed with the 5D Mark III. You can easily print 30x20" (I used to do this with the Mark II) without a problem. I haven't tried any 36x24"'s yet, but, I will do soon, as I have some concept portrait shoots lined up.
