Gentlemen,

This is one reason I do not do this for money. When I first started out in astronomy, no one would help me. Clubs and associations were not interested in the newbie unless they were a paying member.

I believe that the newbie is the lifeblood of astronomy, and it is they that we as decent and responsible experienced, should be teaching and encouraging to help astronomy grow. Without new blood, the astronomer species will eventually become extinct.

It is responses like yours that tell me this is the right way to go and that in itself makes any effort well worth it!

It is I, who thank you, the newbie, as we all were once.
