One such problem I had ended up being the cable from the DC controller to the camera wasn't being inserted far enough to make a good connection. Using a stanley knife I trimmed a little from the outer plastic end over the plug and that fixed the problem.

The other problem I had with both these programs happened when an abort or stop was given part way through an image. The camera requires quite a while to clear the image from the camera and allow a reset. During this time, any change to any setting on the program leaves the camera locked up electronically. It will display images which are totally black. You have to completely disconnect the camera from all sources of supply, DC and USB and reboot the computer to release the driver. This should reset everything and allow it to work again. This one had me totally stumped for quite a while and also happened with the Atik camera I had.

Failling this you could have a faulty DC converter or camera fault.

Good luck Rob.
