I'm also looking at getting the ZWO ASI 1600mm with filters.
I have also read the NB gives really bad halos around stars like in the Ha. So i have decided to get astrodon instead of the ZWO filters.
As for targets go the Trifid Nebula (M20) nearby is a good target. For SII and OIII planetary nebula's are your best bet. But I have heard both M 8 and M 16 are both strong in OIII.
