I want to use a Layer Mask (Photosop CC 2015), to fix up a blown out centre section of M8 in my narrowband image. I have re-shot M8 at a reduces sub exposure to gain a good exposure of the blown out section. I know i have to select the area of the replacement layer and put it on the base layer but what are the correct steps in the process?
