Definitely not a "Mak Cas" - you got 3 posts recommending a Maksutov
Newtonian. It is a corrected Newtonian, which is actually very similar to the Newtonian you originally considered but a bit slower, better image quality over the APS-c field and much easier to use - but heavier.
A Maksutov Cassegrain would be about the worst possible choice.
