Here is proof that the
T-Mount system is an international standard. I fitted the Canon 40D and the Pentax *ist DS to my Vixen refractor and focused on an object approx 100metres away. The focus position did not change when cameras were swapped, indicating that any body differences were catered for in the depth/design of the universal T Mount (Tamron Mount from 1957).
However, the trusty old Pentax had a “focus confirm” red rectangle blink on in the viewfinder
, the Canon didn’t.
