Crayford Focuser Collimation

Can anyone tell me how to adjust/collimate a generic chinese crayford standard focuser while I decide if I should get a moonlite for my 127 mm ED?

I understand the use of the tension adjustment however there are a further 6 hex bolts two sets of three on either side of the top of the focuser body - I assume these can be used to get the draw tube centred with the OTA axis and then collimated? Thus the large central screws will alter x-y posn and the small ones tilt?

What is the best way to set about this - do I need a laser collimator or a
cheshire eyepiece or ?
