Good News!!!

I think Allan's idea is probably the cheapest and the best!!
However, the Green Clean kit worked 100%.
A couple of observations:
Need a really bright light (or grazing bright sunlight) to check the sensor
Check the battery is 100% OK, or use the AC power adaptor
other than that a very straight forward job. No dust bunnys now!!!!!!!!!
