I love your handles, it would make handling the telescope a bloody side easier.
That is what I did for the my 12" Meade, but if you are to believe the folks up on cloudy nights, sweeping the front of the mirror serves to cool the mirror and break the boundary layer on the front surface, is better still. Hind site is a great teacher.
