New Canon Full Frame DSLR - Rumoured 5D Mk II

Well Canon are holding their cards tight but latest rumours have a new Canon Full Frame body being announced by end of September.
As I've motioned they'll probably announce it at Photokina in Germany.

The much anticipated Canon 5D Mk II is said to up the specs substantially over it's predecessor.
We'll have to wait and see if it's true.

A whopping 21.1 MP Full Frame sensor driven by a Digic 4 processor capable of 5 fps.

ISO capability up to 12800 and down to 50.

HD Movie mode and HDMI out.

The micro lens gap has been reduced enabling capture of all the light hitting the sensor.
The new 50D sensor now achieves effective 100% coverage so the same goes for the 5D Mk II.
These new bodies have certainly opened up more options for both terrestrial and astro imaging.

It will be interesting to see what can and will be achieved.

Rumoured 5D Mk II Specs:

* 21.1 MP 1.0x
* DIGIC 4
* ISO 100-6400 (Low mode:50 & High mode:12800)
* 5 fps
* 3.2" LCD High Resolution Screen
* 19 point AF
* HDMI Out
* LiveView
* HD - Movie Mode
* Viewfinder: 100% Coverage
* Full weather sealing
* EF Lenses only (no EF-S lenses)
