By removing the filter from in front of the chip, you now have a modded camera, it will be sensitive to the hydrogen alpha bandwidth that is predominant around the horsehead, plis a whole bunch of other wavelengths, generally people add an ir filter which will also let in the required emisions for astrophotography, ( note the original filter in front of the chip removes the lower red end that we want to record ) should you wish to only record that hydrogen emission ( Ha) then buy an Ha filter.
