RGB stands for red , green and blue.
LRGB stands for luminance, red , green and blue.
If you take a colour shot using a digital cam then the camera takes 1 shot and using a bayer filter creates the rgb colour space.
When you shoot in monochrome using external filters then you make 4 exposures
1.Clear filter for luminance (Brightness)
2.Red filter for red data
3.Blue filter for blue data
4.Green filter for green data
You the use software to join the LRGB to produce a colour picture from a monochrome sensor.
