I know the effects of increased cloud cover has been discussed in the scientific community.

Not only will increased clouds reflect sunlight back to space but they also trap heat below them and water vapour is a greenhouse gas so the result may not be as expected. This is being tested in computer simulations but no-one is actively making more clouds. There is no conspiracy to see here.
