The 15mm thick material is VERY dense black solid 15 x 65 x 220. I have a few pieces of that.

Actually, I solved the problem, I found a flat bar in my shed (probably from ATC), and I changed the design somewhat (with additional sleeve) so thinner block (10 mm plate/flat bar actually) can be used.
You are probably talking about delrin, I also have a few pieces of good size (they came from work, some test jigs we decommissioned long time ago, and of course, I didn't allow that to be thrown into bin
) .
