For this particular camera, it adds about 10mm of backfocus, +/- 2mm for backfocus adjustment. Its a bit of a big unit for this camera, because its a square camera, round cameras like the ZWO and QHY ones would make the unit smaller and lighter. Its also got +/- 2mm or lateral movement if your chip is not centered on the optical axis.
Its also not the lightest thing, as there are 4 main components to it, but future versions and ones for round cameras can be lighter.
