I think it depends on the profession one has.
I have seen it as:
Magnetic declination
Magnetic variation
Magnetic deviation
With the last one frowned upon on the web site I just visited.

I would think anyone that also requires the term declination for stars (sky and sea navigation) would not use magnetic declination also but rather magnetic variation.
I thought deviation was an acceptable alternative but then saw,
