A few months ago, I purchased a ZWO filter drawer and 2 42mm filter holders for my 2” filters.
I ordered direct from ZWO and I received the items in about 10 days. So far so good.
Unfortunately, the drawers did not fit light tight. Light could leak in from the gap where the edge of the filter abuts the drawer. I was surprised and disappointed.
My solution was to make a little light shield that I could easily place over the drawer mechanism. Not beautiful, but it worked.
A month ago I read in cloudy nights that I was not alone with this problem, and it was caused by a batch of drawers not made to spec.
I emailed ZWO and told them my problem.
About a week later I received a very nice email from zwo apologising for the issue and offered to immediately send me replacements! Great!
Last week I was notified the drawers were shipped and yesterday they arrived.
The value of great customer service should never be undervalued!!

Notice the correct drawer has a small lip on the edge of the top rim and a triangular notch taken out of the corners in the middle of the body.
The notches make inserting the drawer much easier. I’ll post the results of the new light tight test tonight!
