Re narrow band with a Canon DSLR, while you can certainly get Ha with your modded camera, your going to get alot of other stuff as well as you know, and I don't know if a CLS filter will do much other than increase your exposure times. Don't you need to debayer the sensor to convert it to mono to do true narrow band imaging?

I'm looking to use a H-alpha filter, which sits nicely in the red band and since modding I've been stoked by the red response in the admittedly bright targets I've had a quick look at. It's what I've got, so what have I got to lose

RGB is a priority, but the weather around new Moon hasn't been friendly the last few months
