I braved the wind and cracked the newt out for some white light images of AR2339 and am fairly happy with the results. The wind won out the day before I could do any barlowed close ups though.

12 panel mosaic! 23/4/15

Feels like forever since I have imaged the moon but I did get out last night amongst the dust and haze to grab a few panels.
Quite happy with the end result.

Taken with a 6" newt, ASI120mm...

I'm always cursing the seeing here but when it comes good it's not too bad.
Lately we have been under a lot of Saharan dust, I wonder if that does any sort of useful filtering.

Managed to squeeze in a couple of Jupiters last night between haze and clouds. I think the early one caught the better of the seeing.
Also learnt to not be afraid of pushing the gain up much...
