Only glitch was when I accidentally pulled out the USB to EQDIR cable just I finished drift alignment :screwy::rolleyes: so had to power off and redo the lot....

The tip is firmly sunken in and is sitting flush with the metal screw body. I am still wondering how it all happened.

I am a bit puzzled by the tip sinking in as I thought the tip is simply inserted into the body of the screw with a solid backing.
Will try as you suggest and see how I go.
